A LOOK INSIDE: ‘Forces of Nature’
It fascinates me how the same image can carry entirely different meanings, depending on who looks at it—how interpretations shift between individuals, social groups, or even the gaze of a man versus a woman painting a nude woman. I wanted to challenge this, to boldly explore sexuality in a direction that feels authentic—perhaps the right direction—where sexuality is no longer reduced to weakness or objectification. Western society has so carefully and powerfully shaped this narrative, harnessing it into structures that leave little room for freedom.
What if those white pillars, pristine and towering, symbolized Western society itself? Structures rigid and unyielding, framing our experiences, allowing us no choice but to exist within their confines. And yet, conformity—accepting their constraints—is a choice. To know yourself, to root yourself deeply in your soul, is to reclaim that choice. To understand sexuality not as something superficial, not as merely physical or visual, but as an energy—a force that is innately yours. When you embody this energy, their opinions become weightless. Their judgment loses its power.
Yet, there is such a fragile line between embracing this energy and being consumed by the narratives around it. You don’t need to bare your skin to express it. You could be covered entirely, head to toe, and still radiate this power. In this case, melanin becomes a celebration—of natural beauty, unapologetic and unfiltered. It is a declaration: you are enough. What is the rawest form of beauty, if not you? Yourself as you were created—your skin, your hair, your identity, your differences. These are not flaws to hide, but truths to honor. And yet we must ask: why do so many feel the need to ‘fit in’? Why do we so often conform to ideals that have been subtly and subconsciously forced upon us?
To truly reclaim yourself, you must reconnect—to your being, to your essence, to your nature. So, I ask: What is your nature? Who are you, untethered from the structures that seek to shape you? Love yourself as you are. Celebrate your differences, for they are your strength. Find that raw beauty within you—beneath the surface, beyond the physical. In that space lies freedom, the kind that no structure or system can take from you.
